We are sharing some of Judy's cards today to inspire you all!!! Here are three lovely Christmas Cards that use the same products but have three distinct looks! We love to see that happen!! We all need to know how to make the most of our stash!!
Good Morning! Originally I shared this post on my blog for Thanksgiving!
For most of you that know me, you know I look to the positive and realize the many ways that I have been blessed each and every day. I'm thankful for my family, my work, my creativity and the friends and acquaintances that i've had the opportunity to make through paper crafting.
There is no love greater than that of the relationship between man and his best friend. My Boy and his dog. Pets offer unconditional love to their family, as do Mothers to their children. I love my Son and my little Fur Baby Sydney! They both bring joy to my life, along with frustration, worry, laughter and sometimes tears, but I wouldn't trade either of the two for the world!
I created this layout with papers from an older line of Doodlebug Design. You can find them in the clearance bin at Scrappin' Great Deals The line is called Sweetheart and the papers are 4050 Heartthrob and 4043 Secret admirer. i'm sure if you called the store, they could add them to you order if you wished to recreate the layout. If you lift the "you're so tweet" layer, you will find a spot for embellishing! I added some Sugarplum Enamel Glossy Sticker dots to give the layout just a little more texture! You can find those in the SGD online store HERE
Lastly, I'm Thankful for the opportunity to share my creations with you and the fact that you continue to visit my blog! Have a wonderful day!
Happy Monday, everyone! Today I wanted to show you the layout that we will be doing in the November Calendar Class. I used the Bo Bunny Collection called "Provence". I always find November is a difficult time to come up with a layout because you don't always know what the weather will be like that month. So I decided to focus on the Clocks in this collection and use them as part of the title for "Sweater Time".
Want to share with you my card for this up coming Wonderful Wednesday. I used this die last weekend making a stuffed paper snowman. This weekend I used it to make a card. The die is called Plush Bundle Snowman from Memory Box. Instead of stitching the snowman, I did faux stitching with a fine black sharpie. You could go a step farther and stitched around with fine wool. I thought this would make a cute kids card. The designer paper is from Bella Blvd, the line is called Christmas Cheer.
If you can join me this Wonderful Wednesday please bring your basic tool kit and a fine tip marker.
and the pretty little ornament layer is called Tiny Trimmings- Tiny and so stinkin' pretty!
For my second embellishment ( I counted the Cottage as number one!) I added three sweet little enamel Christmas dots- Is that a cheat 'cause there are three? I'm going to say NOT...because it's a little grouping and one little enamel dot would have been lonely without the other two!!!
Good morning, everyone. I have been enjoying using some of the new papers that Sheila has brought in to the store. I admit that I am a "paper junkie"! Some of you love dies, some stamps, some stencils, etc. But I love paper!
We just received the new Carta Bella line "Trick or Treat" and you won't believe some of the designs. Check out our Paper Gallery online or at the store. You will have a hard time choosing which papers to buy!
For this kit, I made a sign on my Silhouette and then just used a few simple embellishments. I hope you like it! Now to decide on which of the Christmas lines to use! Such a nice dilemma!!
Want to share with you one of my projects that I got done this past weekend. I used 2 new dies from Memory Box, the Plush Bundled Snowman and Plush Frosty Mitten. You can pre order these dies here. The snowman was made from paper and the mitten is made with felt. They are so cute.
I'm excitied to share a layout that I taught last week!
It sure feels like Fall this morning! I went out to take the photo of the layout and I must say it is a touch chilly! Hoping it will warm up a bit as I'm supposed to be lounging by a friend's pool later this afternoon. I LOVE this mix of colours! I cased a Layout by Leah Killian that I found on the Lily Bee Website, but then I made it my own! Kinda like American Idol...you take the song and change it up a bit to make it your own! I'm a little old for AI, but never to old to scrapbook!
Want to share with you my card for this up coming Wonderful Wednesday. I have had this die from Memory Box, Brevilla Houses for a while and just haven't really done much with it so I thought I would get it out and play with it. I also want to use my stamp set from Lawn Fawn, winter scripty sayings, so I came up with this Christmas card. I used my new powder tool from EKSuccess, this helps with my heat embossing. The background I made with Tim Holtz new embossing folder, sparkles.
Happy Thanksgiving Monday! What a beautiful weekend it has turned out to be. Today, I wanted to show you a layout that we will be making for the Calendar Class on Sunday, October 18. I used the papers from the Carta Bella Collection "Fall Blessings". In this class, we will be embossing with three different embossing powders and using a die cut from Memory Box for the trees. We will also be using some of the Viva Décor Pens to create the trail between the leaves.
Happy Friday! Showing you a little Fall card with the inlaid technique, something fun you can do with your dies and embossing folders. We will be making this card for Technique Tuesday, October 13 at 1 PM.

Just wanted to thank everyone for making National Card Making Day a huge success. It was a lot of fun.
I came home last night thinking I was going to make a Halloween card for this up coming Wonderful Wednesday but it didn't happen. I wasn't feeling it. I had picked this amazing paper from Simple Stories called Claus & Co and so I had to make a Christmas card. I have made this tea cup card before with Tim Holtz Tea Time die and I thought with that die and this new paper this would make a really nice Christmas Card. Especially for a friend or relative that you share a cup a tea with. If you skip putting the tea bag on, you could give the card to someone who enjoys their coffee. The sentiment again is a die called Celebration from Penny Black.
Happy Friday! It is getting cooler....and some of the leaves are already changing.
I made a Fall card for you. It started out with 2 pieces of watercolour paper and some Viva decor paint copper, yellow green and champagne. For each colour I put some on my craft mat and added some water then I dragged my paper through it (background). With a little piece I only did copper and I used that to diecut the leaves with some Memory box leaves dies and inked the edges with some brown memento ink. You can find some of the yummie Viva decor colours HERE. After the watercolour paper was dry, I shined it up with papertowel and you get a niece shine, sorry, it's hard to see in the picture. Sentiment is from Just Rite and heat embossed, added some twine and copper dots and voila, perfect masculine birthday card. Hope you like it!
Last Saturday we held a special crop as a fundraiser in support of our "Diva
Dani's" Mom, Val, who is battling both lung and breast cancer. Some of
the treatments that Val is receiving are not covered by OHIP. Our goal was to raise funds to assist with her treatments. Val is a remarkable
woman with a heart of gold and it was our pleasure to host this special
event in support of her ongoing efforts to fight this horrible disease.
Here are a couple of notes of thanks from Val & Dani:
"To the Wonderful Ladies of the Scrappin’ Great Deals Family:
Just a quick note to acknowledge my extreme gratitude for your generosity and support with the current journey my family and I are on. The warmth of so many “strangers” is truly heart warming and a great life lesson for me. The power of your actions is uplifting and inspiring. Thank you so much on behalf of myself and my family.
A very special thank you to my amazing daughter Danielle and her wonderful “boss” Sheila. The energy and love put into the event was obvious … and will remain in my heart forever. Thanks to all of you for that.
Take care of yourselves and one another,
"There are so many times I am speechless and do not know exactly what to say. But I do want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone from the bottom of my heart for the generous donations, raffles items, continuous prayers for my family, notes/cards, support, Sheila for helping me in making this event a great success and the list goes on. It too will forever be in my heart and I will always pay it forward. Thank you all again sooo much!! Much love and hugs Dani"
To date, we have raised $2000.00!!!! Way to go...and thank you so much to everyone who has contributed in any way! Dani is having another fundraising crop this coming Saturday, please contact her for details! Thanks again!
